Lights...Camera...Action!!

So after having had about six hours of sleep, I'm now ready to go about my day. Of course with the exception of writing this blog in between it all. Time to begin...

Thursday...
I'm just going to begin with Thursday, so after work I drove to my mom's house to watch my brother and sister. I got to the house and Daniel met up with me about 10 minutes later. He and Cat then helped me pick out a dress to wear for the premiere. We had decided on my black prom dress from my senior year. Then we all watched a movie, the twins went to bed and Daniel and I said goodnight and see ya tomorrow.

Friday...
Friday morning arose, I got up, took the twins to school, then went about my day. I ended up getting laundry done and a few things around the house as well. When the time came, I drove to Sioux Falls in which I ended up talking to myself the whole way. I parked my car and walked over to STI to make it just in time to see Daniel getting done with class. Daniel changed and we went on our way.

To be honest, I thought that the first couple of hours felt like only half an hour. The drive was just so much fun. We just talked, laughed, and read about discipleship. All in all, very beneficial. Mind you every so often I would be tensing up from the mixed feelings of nervousness and excitement; but bless Daniel's heart, he would just take my hand, give it a light squeeze and told me that everything was going to be alright.

Although it was dark, the scenery was still beautiful nonetheless. Especially when we were at La Crosse (the border of Minnesota and Wisconsin), the valley was just so beautiful. When in Wisconsin, though I'd never been in that part before it did look somewhat familiar to me because of all the surrounding trees it reminded me of the drive to the cabin in Siren.

So we drew nearer and nearer, and as we did my feelings were bouncing between excited and nervous still. Then we got to the turns of which I had seen with Daniel before on Google maps. When we finally arrived at the house, I felt like my core temperature was a mere 150 degrees. And once that door opened, out of it bounded the two exact people I expected to see first. Emily and then Kara embraced their brother like they hadn't seen him in years. Then they turned towards me and each gave me a hug as well then led Daniel and I inside where as expected the rest of the family was waiting. And although it was late, they were all (minus the Webber parents) wide awake. We talked about tomorrow's schedule and everything else they had had in store and then we all went to bed...or so I expected.

I stayed in the girls' room with the girls (Webbers and Morells) and just like I expected, again :), Kara, Emily, Joanna, and I talked for about another hour. Mainly about chocolate and Disney movies.

Saturday
I was surprised. We were all tired (especially Daniel and I), so I almost thought that all of us would sleep in...well us girls got up at like 8:30ish and the guys slept another 1-2 hours. But it was fine by me because I got to chat with most of the family and eat breakfast with them almost as if we'd known each other for years. So we didn't actually start to do anything until about 10:30ish, starting with the girls going upstairs to work on their hair. I followed and it was rather interesting because Nathanael and Josiah joined us and we talked about Disney music. Afterwards, we all had lunch, which was an amazing white chili that Mrs. Morell made.

After lunch, we started to set up the dessert/orderve area and the theatre as it turned out to look like. So we were able to get everything ready in time. We even had extra time to start red carpet pictures. I couldn't believe how handsome and beautiful everyone looked when dressed up. It was so much fun meeting a whole bunch of new people.

The movie was fantastic! There was hardly a moment where I didn't laugh. It is without a doubt a movie that I would definitely want to see again.

Sunday
So Kara, Emily, and Joanna were all dressing up in their Indian garb. I was insisted to join them, and quite frankly, I'm glad that I did. It was gorgeous clothing and very comfortable.

So anyway, we all got dressed and then had breakfast in haste to make it to meeting that morning. Meeting at the Fox Valley Assembly is very similar to Brookings Christian Assembly. So I somewhat felt comfortable besides that fact that I was in a place in which I have no idea where I was. After first meeting, I was shocked at how many people that came up to me knew my name. Things were shared faster there than at my high school by a long shot.

After the second meeting, I changed out of the Indian garb that Kara let me borrow and got into my own clothes. The whole lot of us had lunch then Mrs. Morell, Daniel, and I headed back to the house because the two of them had to do some paperwork. While they were busy doing that, I earned bragging rights towards Daniel...I saw his baby book first!!! Mwahahahahaha! Anyways, they got done with the paperwork rather quickly, so Daniel went out to check his sparkplugs while Mrs. Morell and I sat inside and talked.

Daniel got done with his car check and we said goodbyes and departed with a 8 hour trip ahead of us. Now sunday was daylight savings time, so apparently that meant that the sun had to go down at about 4:20ish. I know it makes no sense. But anyways, so we were driving during dark hours again but that was ok. We had so much fun on the drive. Daniel and I are/were so ridiculous.

So all in all, excellent trip. It was fun to be there but its good to be back. The trip was fun. The movie was excellent. The people were brilliant. Congrats and thank you for letting me come. I can't wait until next time. God bless the Morell and the Webber families. Also of course, Daniel for being by my side through everything!! :)
