Its that time of the year...yet again. When stores have holiday things out already. Honestly I can understand Halloween (Hallow's Eve) decorations and whatnots out on shelves since the beginning of October, then possibly Thanksgiving decor as well since they are around the same season; but Christmas/winter decor...really?! I promise you not two days after they put out things for Halloween/Thanksgiving, winter holiday decorations are out. There hasn't even been the first big frost. Ok so that might be a little late to put out that kind of decor but at least wait until midOctober or the end. It hardly ever snows before the end of the month so you will still have time to put up everything.
To think about it as well, why are stores so anxious to get that stuff out anyway? It almost seems as if they want it to snow sooner. Why? Snow last long enough the way it is, why are they so anxious for it to come sooner than necessary.
Moving on, so currently I'm at a coffeeshop. The only one in Brookings that seems to open when people actually need coffee (5:30 A.M.). Yes, I've been here since 5:30. Anyway, in the middle of deep contemplation of what to blog about I suddenly hear someone singing. Mind you the radio is on but I'm talking about actual singing. I look over towards the counter to find one of the employees singing to "Bust A Move". My first initial thought was to start singing with her, but for my better judgement I just pull off a subtle chuckle. I thought that that would be the only thrillinng thing about my morning until after my classes are done later. Then about 15 minutes later, I look over again and the same lady is singing to "Just The Way You Are," now normally I don't really like Bruno Mars but I burst out laughing due to the fact that this girl is going all out and using one of the spatulas as a microphone and that she is actually making this song worth listening to. Highlight of the day...possibly.
